Coursekeeper · For first aid trainers UK‑wide, based in Fareham

First aid training, booked, certified and back to requalify

A first aid certificate runs out after three years, and the business that reminds people first is usually the one that gets the requalification. Coursekeeper takes the bookings, issues the certificates and does the reminding, so your learners come back to you.

More about us

What's included

  • First Aid at Work, Emergency First Aid at Work, requalification and refresher courses, each on its own page with its dates and places left.
  • The two-day First Aid at Work requalification checks the certificate is still in date before anyone books it.
  • An employer books their whole team in one go, with a name against each place, and gets one VAT invoice.
  • A register on the day, the result recorded, and the certificate on record with its number and expiry date - the awarding body's for a regulated qualification, your own for anything else.
  • A reminder before each certificate expires, with your next requalification dates in it, sent to the learner and their employer.
  • Every certificate you've issued on record, so you can answer an employer's question or reissue a lost one in a minute.

Built round how first aid training runs

HSE's guidance puts First Aid at Work and Emergency First Aid at Work certificates at three years. First Aid at Work is renewed with a two-day requalification before it expires, Emergency First Aid at Work by taking the one-day course again, and HSE strongly recommends an annual refresher in between. So every learner has a reason to come back every year, and each one is a chance to lose them to whoever reminds them first.

Requalify before it lapses

The two-day requalification needs a First Aid at Work certificate that's still in date. Coursekeeper knows when each one runs out and asks the right question at booking.

Refreshers that come round on their own

A nudge at the end of the first and second year, for the annual refresher, with your dates in it.

Employers see who's due

A company with ten first aiders sees whose certificates run out when, and books the requalifications together.

Records you can show

Employers choosing a provider check its trainers and its records. Who trained whom, when, with what result and which awarding body's certificate is all in one place.

Pricing

£74+VAT a month plus £200+VAT setup, or £749+VAT a year with no setup fee - Coursekeeper's founding prices, half the usual, and yours for as long as you stay. Everything included, and no fee on any booking.

FAQs

How long does a first aid at work certificate last?

Three years for both, according to HSE's guidance. First Aid at Work is renewed with a two-day requalification course taken before it expires; Emergency First Aid at Work by taking the one-day course again. HSE also strongly recommends an annual refresher in between.

We run regulated qualifications. Who issues the certificate?

The awarding body, as now. Coursekeeper records it against the learner with its number and expiry date, so the reminders still work, and issues your own certificates for anything unregulated.

Can Coursekeeper remind people when their first aid certificate is due?

Yes. Every certificate carries its expiry date, and the learner and their employer get a reminder before it runs out, with your next requalification dates in it.

Can an employer book a whole team?

Yes - several places in one booking with a name against each, and one VAT invoice. Employers who book often can have an account instead of paying card by card.

What does it cost?

The same as Coursekeeper: £74+VAT a month plus £200+VAT setup, or £749+VAT a year, on its founding price. No fee on any booking.
