Custom software · Bespoke databases · South coast & south east
Your business, off the spreadsheets and joined up
Most small businesses run on a few spreadsheets, an inbox, three or four apps that don't talk to each other, and someone copying between them at the end of the day. It works, just, and costs hours every week. We replace the spreadsheets with a bespoke database built round how you work, connect the tools you're keeping and build what's missing, so it all runs as one system.

What's included
-
Your tools talking to each other
Accounts, email, calendar, forms, shop and payments, connected so a job typed once lands everywhere it needs to.
-
Off-the-shelf bits set up properly
The integrations built into apps you already pay for, and Zapier or Make if you'd like them.
-
Custom software for the gaps
The spreadsheet that's really a database, the job tracker nobody sells, the report you build by hand every Monday.
-
One dashboard
For you and your team, with the numbers you check most on the front page.
Signs you need a bespoke database
The spreadsheet has become the system
Several people edit it, there are three versions, and only one person really understands it.
The same thing gets typed twice
An order goes into the shop, then the accounts, then the delivery sheet. Every copy is a chance to get it wrong.
Nobody's sure what's up to date
Answering a customer means checking the inbox, the spreadsheet and someone's notebook.
The business stops when one person is off
The knowledge lives in their head and their spreadsheet, and everyone else works around it.
How it works
1. A free consultation
On a call or at your place. We follow a few real jobs from start to finish and see where the time goes.
2. You get a written plan and a fixed price
One plan for the whole business: what stays, what we connect, what we replace or build, and what it costs to run. You're free to say no.
3. We build it in stages
The bit that saves the most time goes live first, so it's paying off while the rest is built.
4. We look after it
One monthly bill covers running it, keeping the connections working and changes as the business grows.
When we'll say no
The tools you have already do it
A lot of software can do more than it's set up to. If yours can, we'll show you how and you won't need us.
A spreadsheet is fine
If it's one person, one sheet and it isn't costing you time, leave it be. We'll say so.
Pricing
Typically from £2,500, fixed after a free consultation. Then one monthly bill to run and look after it, quoted with the price - it depends on what's connected.
A bigger job costs what the rest of our custom software does, typically £5,000 - £25,000.
FAQs
How much does a bespoke database cost?
A bespoke database typically costs from £2,500. A free consultation ends in a written plan and one fixed price you're free to turn down.
Do we need an Excel consultant or a database?
If it's one workbook that needs better formulas, an Excel consultant is the cheaper answer and we'll say so. If several people rely on it, it's copied into other systems or it breaks when someone sorts the wrong column, it's outgrown Excel and wants a database.
Do you use Zapier?
Yes, if you'd like it there - along with Make and the integrations already built into the apps you use. If you already pay for one, we'll build in it. Where a process needs more than a chain of steps can reliably do, we build that part on our own platform, and look after the whole thing either way.
Do we have to replace everything?
No. Most of what you use probably works fine. We keep it, connect it and build only what's missing.
Which tools can you connect?
Most business software with an API: Xero, QuickBooks, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Shopify, Stripe, HubSpot, calendars, forms and the rest. If something can't be connected, we'll tell you before you've paid anything.
What happens to our data?
We move what's in your spreadsheets into the new system. Your data is always yours, and if you leave we export it for you. We keep the code by default, and you can buy it outright when you go.
How long does it take?
It depends how much there is to join up. We build it in stages, starting with whatever's costing you the most time, so that goes live first.
