Who's behind it
Shane Wright
I've spent more than 25 years in software. I co-founded two businesses and was CTO of both - one grew from four people to a hundred and fifty, the other ran engineering across three continents - and both were sold, one to private equity and one to a strategic buyer.
Along the way: a seat on the board, due diligence from both sides, ISO 27001 and SOC 2, GDPR and accessibility, and regulated work for banks including FCA Consumer Duty.
These days I work with a small group of partners I've worked with for years, brought onto a project when it needs them rather than carried as a payroll. Advisory work is usually me; a delivery team is several of us. Capacity flexes with the job, and nobody sits between you and the people doing the work.
I write about the engineering side over in the writing, including the parts that went wrong.
What that means in practice
- AI-native rather than AI-flavoured - agents are wired into the real work, from code review to QA to operations
- The repetitive work is automated, so you are paying for judgement rather than hours
- Low fixed cost - no bench and no overhead to carry between projects
- Shared foundations across everything we build, so the second thing costs less than the first
Working together
We're selective about the engagements we take. Depending on what's needed, that's me, or me plus one or two of the partners I work with. If something here fits what you're doing, get in touch and tell us about it.
