Seatkeeper · From Eventbrite UK‑wide, based in Fareham

Moving your classes off Eventbrite

Eventbrite is a good way to sell tickets, and it does more than people give it credit for - its waitlist offers released tickets on its own, and its checkout can sit on your own site (Eventbrite's own feature pages, checked 29 September 2026). Where a class business running week in, week out tends to move is the fee on every paid ticket, and wanting the website and the bookings in one system of its own.

Who you'll deal with, start to finish

He's in Fareham and works with businesses all over the UK - on a call, and in person when it's worth the trip.

023 8272 0001 Rings through to Shane. Out of hours it goes to voicemail, and he'll ring you back.

Twenty-five years writing software, two companies co-founded and sold, and he still writes the code. A few people he's worked with for years come in when a job needs more hands.

More about us

What's included

  • Your website and your bookings as one system of your own, rather than orders on Eventbrite's platform.
  • No fee on any booking - one flat monthly or yearly price however many people book.
  • Moving someone to another date in one step, and a waiting list that fills a cancelled place on its own.
  • Deposits and balances, gift vouchers, and group bookings with a name for each person.
  • Your upcoming dates, past bookings and customers brought across when you move.

What Eventbrite charges

From Eventbrite's own pricing page, checked 29 September 2026:

A fee on every paid ticket

A percentage of the ticket price plus a fixed amount per ticket. Check Eventbrite's pricing page for the current UK rate.

Paid by your customer, or you

Buyers pay it by default; you can choose to cover it yourself.

Free events are free

No fee on a free event.

Where a class business outgrows it

The fee grows with you

Every paid place carries it, so a busy month costs more than a quiet one.

The bookings are Eventbrite orders

Even with the checkout on your own site, each booking is an order on their platform, under their terms.

Your website is a separate job

Eventbrite sells the tickets; the site around them is still yours to build and look after.

Pricing

£49+VAT a month plus £200+VAT setup, or £499+VAT a year with no setup fee - Seatkeeper's founding prices, half the usual, and yours for as long as you stay. No fee on any booking.

Card payments go straight to your own account, so the only fee on a booking is your card processor's standard one.

When to stay on Eventbrite

If you run a few one-off events a year, especially free ones, Eventbrite costs you nothing and its marketplace can find you people. Stay on it.
