Coursekeeper · From Bookwhen · UK‑wide, based in Fareham
Bookings, and the certificates and renewals after them
Bookwhen is a good, inexpensive booking page, and plenty of training providers run on it - it handles course dates, waiting lists and one person booking a whole team. Its own pages don't cover what happens after the course: issuing the certificate, knowing when it runs out and bringing the learner back to renew. That's the part Coursekeeper is built round.

Who you'll deal with, start to finish
He's in Fareham and works with businesses all over the UK - on a call, and in person when it's worth the trip.
023 8272 0001 Rings through to Shane. Out of hours it goes to voicemail, and he'll ring you back.
Twenty-five years writing software, two companies co-founded and sold, and he still writes the code. A few people he's worked with for years come in when a job needs more hands.
What's included
- Certificates issued from the result, each with its number and the date it runs out.
- Renewal reminders before a certificate expires, with your next dates in them, so people come back to you.
- Prerequisites checked before anyone books a course they're not ready for.
- Company accounts: an employer books the whole team, gets one VAT invoice, and sees whose certificates are due.
- Your website included, set up and looked after for you.
What Bookwhen is
From Bookwhen's pricing, features and course booking pages, checked 10 October 2026:
£12, £19 or £39+VAT a month
Capped at 300, 800 and 1,800 bookings a month. Reminder emails, the waiting list and attendance tracking start on the £19 plan.
No Bookwhen fee on a booking
Your payment provider charges its processing fee on card payments, and nothing is charged on bookings marked as paid offline.
Built for courses as well as classes
A register on the day, prerequisites the attendee confirms when booking, and one person booking several attendees at once.
Certificates aren't on its pages
None of the three mentions issuing certificates, expiry dates or reminding someone when theirs runs out. Its reminder emails are about the booking.
Pricing
£74+VAT a month plus £200+VAT setup, or £749+VAT a year with no setup fee - Coursekeeper's founding prices, half the usual, and yours for as long as you stay. No fee on any booking.
That's the website, hosting, the software, setting it up and looking after it. Bookwhen is cheaper as a booking page on its own; Coursekeeper costs more because it's your website and your certificates as well.
When to stay on Bookwhen
If you need people booked and paid, you're happy with a booking page beside your own website, and certificates and renewals aren't part of your work, Bookwhen is cheaper and you should stay on it.
FAQs
Is Coursekeeper cheaper than Bookwhen?
No - as a booking page on its own, Bookwhen is cheaper. Coursekeeper includes your website, the certificates and the renewal reminders, set up and looked after for you, which is where the difference goes.
Can you move my Bookwhen courses and bookings across?
Yes - your courses, dates and existing bookings come across, so nobody has to rebook.
Running classes rather than training?
Then Seatkeeper is the better comparison with Bookwhen - booking and your website in one, without the certificates, for £49+VAT a month on its founding price.
